The Top 10 Best Restaurants at Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World is filled with culinary delights and with more than 100 restaurants there's a lot to choose from. In this post I've round up 10 of the most unique restaurants with some of the best food. There's everything from sit-down meals in an Italian-like setting to quick places to get a hot dog.

Note: the numbering of these restaurants has no relation to their ranking.

  1. Boma - Flavors of Africa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is an all-you-can-eat African buffet extravaganza with classic American food too. The theming is really unique putting you into an African hut house with a thatched roof. Mains include Zanzibar Crab Soup, Roasted Salmon and Pork Shoulder. Pricing: About $40 per adult and $20 per child (Ages 3-9).
  2. Raglan Road is an Irish pub in Downtown Disney. Proper Irish fare is served such as Bangers & Mash, Curry Pie and of course lots of beer. The atmosphere is fantastic too! Entrees are priced at $12-$18.
  3. Via Napoli is an Italian restaurant in EPCOT. Be prepared for pasta, salads and of cours the signature wood-oven pizzas. The biggest pizza to server 3-5 people costs $41, salads and pastas are priced around the $20 mark.
  4. Be Our Guest at the Magic Kingdom is one of the most incredibly themed restaurants you will ever encounter, created to look exactly like the inside of the Beast's Castle - you'll even see snow if you look out  the stain glass windows! Food is French and American inspired. The restaurant curiously is counter-service for lunch and table-service for dinner. Lunch fare includes sandwiches and braised pork priced at around $12. Dinner fare is more elaborate with Layered Ratatouille and Sauteed Shrimp and Scallops being served, with mains priced in the $16-30 range.
  5. Sunshine Seasons is my favourite quick service place to eat at in EPCOT. You just can't beat how adventurous and delicious the food as for a counter service location. The Oak-grilled Rotisserie Chicken and Oak Grilled salmon are particularly good, priced at $11. Asian fare, salads, sandwiches and desserts are all also available at a reasonable price.
  6. California Grill at the Contemporary Resort is a signature dining location with a dress code serving up exciting food with views over the Magic Kingdom. The menu has just been updated in September 2013. Sample meatballs, jumbo prawns, hand-rolled sushi, Oak-fired Filet of Beef and even Pacific Halibut as mains. The restaurant is expensive with most mains in the $30-$50 price ranger. It will, however, be a meal you are unlikely to forget any time soon.
  7. 1900 Park Fare is one of the hidden gems at Walt Disney World, being a buffet meal with characters. Dinner prices are around $40 for adults and $20 for children, but the character breakfast are around $24 for adults and $13 for children.
  8. Le Cellier is a Canadian signature sit-down restaurant in EPCOT. With simple, just lavish interiors Le Cellier is all about the food, with a menu featuring world-renowned steak. There is also chicken, veal, couscous and more on the menu. Entrees around priced from $30 to $60.
  9. 'Ohana is a Hawaian style buffet at the Polynesian resort. Indulge in all-you-can-eat food on skewers from chicken to pork loin to steak to shrimp, all served family style. Prices are around $40 per adult and $20 per child.
  10. Casey's Corner in the Magic Kingdom is the staple place to get a hot dog. With several toppings to choose from, sometimes a simple hot dog is all you need to help you get through the day or to while a way a few minutes whilst waiting for a parade or fireworks. They are expensive at about $10 for a meal but so worth it!
