Built in 1365 to house Edward III’s personal treasure collection, the Jewel Tower is one of the few surviving areas of the old Palace of Westminster, which was razed by a fire. Today, you can find an exhibition that spans all three floors inside and revisits the tower’s numerous roles over the past 650 years, and even includes a model of the Palace of Westminster before the 1834 fire destroyed it.
